'Taste of the Future' is a celebration of food and farming featuring a locally-produced meal highlighting the agricultural products of Cal Poly and the Central Coast. The event attracts leading agriculturists and policy makers from across the state. Past speakers have included organic restauranteuse Nora Pouillon, farmer/author Michael Ableman, vintner/author Paul Dolan, Rodale Institute CEO Tim LaSalle, author Michael Pollan, Howard Yana Shapiro of Mars, Inc. and Woody Tasch, president of Slow Money.

With a long and varied entrepreneurial history in natural foods ranging from retailer to farmer to consultant, Walter Robb joined Whole Foods Market in 1991 and was named co-CEO in 2010. With his insightful business acumen, Mr. Robb continues to focus on innovative ways to improve the company and the community, while helping to meet the exploding demand for more natural and organic foods.
This year's event takes place on the Cal Poly campus beginning at 6 p.m.
